Monday 8th March It was a good week for the Football Academy's Youth Initiative teams with all three turning in superb displays, much to the delight of thier coaches. The Under 14's (match report) and 16's (match report) were both up against Cowdenbeath while the Under 15's produced a stunning display against Elgin City (match report) In the SFL Youth League the Under 17's came out on top in a five goal thriller against Queen of the South in Dalbeattie (match report). GIRLS football also returned for the new summer football season with our new Under 13 side in action at Milton where they produced a superb performance (match report) While the under 11's also got off to a winning start (match report) Click on the links above for full match details. |

Thursday 3rd March
After five straight wins, Ayr United Under 19’s came crashing back to earth as they lost away to East Stirling (match details)
The Under 19’s run of five straight wins, a run in which they had scored 20 goals, came to an abrupt end on Tuesday night as they crashed to defeat at East Stirling. |

Tuesday 2nd March
Only two Academy teams were in action at the weekend as the matches involving the under 15’s, 16’s and 17’s were postponed, leaving the Under 14’s and 19’s to carry the Academy banner. Tuesday 2nd March Ayr United Football Academy's under 13 side had an exceptional game this week against Stirling Albion. The side which included three players making their debuts for the team, David Waite, Robbie Mitchell and Dylan Baillie all performed extremely well and can be proud of how they performed during the game, as well as the rest of their teammates. |
