I would like to invite all Academy players and their parents/guardians, from the 11’s to 17’s age groups to an Induction Night prior to the new season kicking off.
The schedule of training sessions for each age group will be announced and other information relevant to the Academy’s step up to Performance status passed on. Due to the numbers involved we invite the age groups to attend as follows:
11’s, 12’s and 13’s – 6pm @ Belmont Academy, Ayr, Thursday 2nd August
14’s, 15’s and 17s – 7pm @ Belmont Academy, Ayr Friday 3rd August
The players will be issued with their new AUFA training kit, along with their training schedules for the forthcoming season.
We also require all players and parent/guardians to complete the Academy Code of Conduct forms along with our Player personnel forms.
We have been working hard over the close season period, to recruit new coaches to strengthen the existing pool of coaches and are delighted to note that, with the introduction of new coaches and the success of our own coaches in attaining their Scottish FA Level 4 qualification, we now have 17 Level 4 and Licence qualified coaches in place.
The new Coaching teams have been appointed and it will be a good opportunity to introduce them to their teams, where changes have been made.
The Coaching teams will be:
11’s – Kevin Bruce and Jason Butler
12’s – Shaun Ferrie and Ross Menzies
13’s – Jamie McCulloch, Declyn Cooper and Graeme Moffat
14’s – Jack Martin, Adam Gibson and Ross Armour
15’s – Graeme Neil, Darren Allinson and Marc Roseblade
17’s – Andy Willock, Neil Duffy and Jamie McCrae
The Academy’s season has already got off to a great start, with record numbers of Academy players taking part in the Club’s pre season friendlies and exciting prospects for those players in terms of enjoying competitive first team football this season.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the beginning of a very important season for all involved.
