Ayr United v Kilwinning
Kilwinning made a break down the left hand side of the park where their midfielder crossed the ball to the striker who tapped the ball home to take the lead. This seem to kick the girl’s into action and they started playing in the same manner they do in training, passing the ball well and running into space. Ayr after a few missed shots eventually got their reward when Sophie Mckay took on two defenders before shooting from a tight angle. In the final minutes, Ayr piled on the pressure but couldn’t get the winner.

Ayr United v Dalry
Sophie O’Pray, who was the striker for this match, scored a hat-trick within the first few minutes of the game. Ayr seemed to think the game won and sat back and allowed Dalry back into the game and suddenly the score was 3-3! After some words of encouragement from the AUFA coach, Ayr once again took control of the game and in the end ran out 7-3 winners! Sophie O’Pray ended up scoring a double hat-trick while Eleanor also got on the score sheet with a long range shot!

Ayr United v Irvine
Ayr started off the game brightly and scored two early goals through Michaela McCaig. The next five minutes turned into a tussle in the midfield with Beth Paterson and Eleanor Nicol battling hard. Ayr freshened things up with a few substitutes and in the last few minutes the changes paid off, with both Sophie McKay and Sophie O’Pray adding to the score sheet.

The game was heading for stalemate until with a few minutes to go Sophie O’Pray got the decisive goal and Ayr held onto this lead and prevailed winners.
