Rome wasn’t built in a day!

Hamilton Accies 13s v Academy 13s

Ayr United 13s travelled through to Lanarkshire to take on Hamilton Accies and it was Ayr started off well against a side that boasted a team of very talented players. The Ayr boys battled well and saw Toni Sisi (pictured), who returned to centre midfield, battled for everything and started attacks well. The shape of the team was solid and attacks came frequent.

In the second period the Accies team began to push forward with more frequency. This is where the Ayr boys had to step up their game as the Accies boys moved the ball well but Ayr boys did well to limit the chances created.

In the third period Ayr returned to basics. They began to play the ball out from the back, something that started in the first period and was missing in the second. The game was a lesson to the boys who know the level they are now competing at but as the saying goes ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’.
