After our draw with France, training was all about recovery and preparation for our next game against Hungary. I knew I wouldn’t be starting as we were all told we would get a start over the two games, so I was just hoping to get some game time.
Hungary were more aggressive than France and played with a much higher tempo and it took us a while to get into the game. Hungary took the lead from a corner and we found ourselves 1-0 down at half-time.
The longer the game went on the more control we managed to take of the game and got our deserved equaliser. Thankfully, I got on during the second half and managed to pick up the pace quickly. I also managed to set up the winning goal as I managed to work the ball up the line and cut it back to Reece McAlear of Motherwell, who finished in style to put us in front. We managed to see out the game and win the match. We were delighted to win the game especially as a few days later, Hungary drew with England.
It was another amazing experience to be away with Scotland and hopefully I will be selected for the next round of the Euros in March.
