The Football Fans in Training (FFIT) project marks a unique collaboration between academics, the Scottish Professional Football League Trust (SPFL Trust, previously the Scottish Premier League Trust) and Scotland’s top football clubs, which has already attracted more than 3000 men to make significant changes to their risk of ill health by losing weight, becoming more active and eating a healthier diet.
The FFIT programme has been developed to include the latest scientific approaches to weight loss, physical activity and diet. These are delivered to groups of Scottish male football fans by community coaches at their favourite professional football club.
The main aims of the programme are to:
- Increase knowledge of diet & nutrition
- Improve lifestyle choices
- Increase physical activity amongst participants
- Reduce weight and waist measurements
- Increase engagement in other physical activity
This is a great opportunity to shed a few pounds with the support of your local Football Club and help you live a healthier and more active life.
The course is limited to 32 places and if you are interested in attending the course then please email your name and contact details to Nicholas.Provan@aufa.org.uk
Please remember numbers are limited so register early to avoid disappointment.
