Billy Alexander
Billy Alexander, 26, joined the academy in October 2009 and is the head coach of the under 11′s side. He has an honours degree in sports coaching and development. He also has many coaching badges, including rugby, shinty, tennis, badminton, basketball and tri-golf plus level 1, 2, and 3 on both children’s and youth pathways for the Scottish FA. Billy has also coached the Auchinleck and Ochiltree primary school teams as well as delivering sessions within basketball, shinty, hockey and tri-golf whilst being on placement with Active Schools from 2006 – present.
Richard McCutcheon
Richard McCutcheon is 26 years old and has been coaching with the under 11’s team since the start of the season. He has coached since leaving the army, possesses the level 1 coaching badge and will soon complete level 2. Before joining Ayr United he coached for soccer camps whilst at college in Dundee and also worked for Dundee FC as a community coach for work experience. Richard has also played for Valspar boys club and Cumnock boys club. He currently plays for Troon FC.
