Under 13’s Coaching Staff

Paul was appointed to the Ayr United Football Academy in September 2008. He took control of the 11s girls team and has progressed to become Head Coach of the 13’s team.

He works as part of the Community coaching team and is qualified to level 3 of the Scottish FA’s Children and Youth pathways. He also has the Understanding Physical Preparation for Sport Certificate, and his Disability Certificate.

Paul was lucky enough to get the chance to share his knowledge across the water in the USA in soccer camps and holiday camps. As a youngster he played for five years in the South of England with a number of youth boys clubs.

 Michael Lamont

Michael, 19, has been part of the Ayr United girls set up since August 2009. He is an avid Ayr United supporter and after receiving a coaching course from David White, immediately wanted to be part of the Academy. He has formed a successful partnership with Paul McFarlane and the pair guided the Under 13’s side to a league and cup double triumph in 2010. Michael has the unit 1 and 2 coaching badges and is looking forward to coaching the girls to more success this season.

Amber Agnew

Amber is 20 years old and has been working with Ayr United girls under 13′s for the past few months. Being involved in football is nothing new to Amber as she has participated in football related activities for most of her life. She is a lifelong Ayr United supporter and when she got the chance to coach with Ayr United she jumped at the chance. Amber has also played for Ayr United girls’ teams for some 10 years before stopping her playing career about 4 years ago. From there Amber moved onto refereeing boys and girls football games and is still involved in the refereeing set up. Amber is enjoying learning from and working with the current coaches and is looking forward to the rest of the current season and beyond.
