Head of Academy Football Science & Medicine

Ayr United Football Club is looking to recruit a committed, knowledgeable, self-motivated person to join in the position of Head of Academy Sports Science and Medicine within the club’s Academy set up.
The role of the Head Academy Sports Science and Medicine is fundamental to the long-term vision of Ayr United Football Club; leading science medical services to all ages in the Academy and ensuring that the department attains all criteria for the Scottish FA Elite Player Performance Programme.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for training, assessing, treating and rehabilitating players from the U9-U18 age groups.
The role will also include interaction with the U20 Development squad, including pitch side work on match days and training when appropriate.
The applicant must be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
The candidate will have the below qualifications
- Chartered Physiotherapist – Masters and HPC registered
- Masters Level in Sports Science related qualification
In addition, have
- 3 years’ experience of working with young elite athletes, preferably in professional football
- Current and valid First Aid Certificate
- Full, clean driving licence
