Head Coach
David White
David has been with the Academy since June 2007 when he was appointed to the position of Football Development Officer. He took on the role of Head of Youth and Community Development in September 2009.
David’s qualifications include Scottish FA Youth Licence and Advanced Children’s Licence. He also played professional football at Senior and Junior level.
Coaches
John Given
John is a well known face around Somerset as he has been a keen Ayr United supporter and volunteer for over 30 years. John became an Academy coach in June 2008 and brings a wealth of experience to the Academy. John is qualified to Level 3 on the Scottish FA’s Youth and Children’s Pathway.
Jamie McCulloch
Jamie joined the Academy in May 2009 having previously coached with local boys clubs in the area. Jamie is qualified to Level 3 on the Scottish FA’s Youth and Children’s Pathway and is targeting the Level 4 courses over the next year. Jamie was a Pro Youth player before injury dictated he turn to the coaching side of football.
Mick McCallum
Mick joined the Academy in July 2010, and brings valuable experience with him. Mick has previously been a player, coach and manager of various Ayrshire Junior Football Clubs which include Irvine Meadow, Craigmark Burntonians, and Maybole and Whitletts Victoria
