U11's girls vs Kilwinning Feb 2018

Period 1: Straight from the start this was an end to end action packed game which saw the scoreline see-saw back and forth between the two competitive teams.
The hosts got off to a flying start as they took an early two goal lead, but Ayr went on to half the deficit with a perfect through ball from Megan to Karlii on the byline, who then picked out Cairney to neatly finished off the move.
Kilwinning then restored their two goal lead once more, followed up by Ayr grabbing their second from a corner, which resulted in Cairney hitting the post and the Kilwinning defender then sending the ball into the back of her own net.

Period 2: A quick start in the second period allowed Ayr to take the lead for the first time, as both Karlii and Kristie netted, followed up shortly after by Evie scoring with a left footed volley. A dominant performance from United during this section sent them into the final period with a two goal advantage reflecting how Kilwinning had started the match.

Period 3: Thanks to the final break Kilwinning composed themselves and came flying out of the blocks for the third period to level up proceedings.
Jerked into action, Ayr took back the lead after Cairney set up Karlii inside the box, who then rounded the keeper to tidily finish.
This lead didn’t last long though as Kilwinning then levelled it up once more to the delight of the home support. This then sent Kilwinning on a run as they extended their lead, however Karlii pulled a quick hat-trick together to give United a one goal advantage heading into the last three minutes.
The final action of a jam packed match was an Ayr player handling the ball inside the box providing a penalty to Kilwinning which was successfully converted to make it a well deserved draw at full time.
