Jamie Douglas becomes latest Academy Graduate
Congratulations to Jamie Douglas who signed his first professional contract with Ayr United today (Monday 8th June 2026). Jamie now becomes the latest Academy Graduate to progress from the Academy into the Ayr United First Team.
Jamie, who was born in 2010, spent a large part of Season 2025/26 playing up an age group with our Under 19s. Jamie was recently named our Under 17s Coaches’ Player of the Year at our annual Awards Night!

Jamie joined the Ayr United Football Academy in 2020 and has progressed through the full pathway at the Academy. Jamie is also a recent graduate of the Scottish FA JD Performance School programme.
Jamie made his Ayr United First Team debut in the final game of the 2025/26 Season when he came on as a substitute against St Johnstone.
Jamie also recently found out that he had been selected for the Scotland Men’s Under 17s training camp so this has been a really exciting month or two for him and his family!
Everyone at the Academy is delighted to see Jamie sign for the Ayr United First Team and it’s been a joy to watch his journey through our pathway.
