On behalf of Ayr United Football Academy, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to The National Lottery for your generous funding support. This vital contribution will allow our charity to continue and further develop our flagship Football for Life programme, aligning perfectly with our overarching goal of building a better community through football.

Football for Life is designed to support individuals with long-term health conditions or disabilities, those experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges, people facing social isolation, and food poverty. The programme offers inclusive support to these groups and more, providing opportunities to participate at their own pace in a fun, safe, warm, and welcoming environment—whether through the weekly Honest Men’s Group, Walking Football, Ayr United Strollers or other activities.

While traditionally focused on the 50+ age group, thanks to your funding, we are excited to expand the programme to include the 30–50 age group, extending our reach across South Ayrshire. Football for Life offers activities that benefit participants both physically and mentally, fostering health, connection, and well-being for adults of all ages and abilities.

Your support enables us to sustain and grow whilst creating new opportunities to reduce social isolation and loneliness, improve mental health and well-being, and provide safe, warm spaces for our community.
