March Newsletter
Start of the Month
Our Star of the Month is Freddie Irwin. Freddie is one of our community coaches who joined us as a volunteer at the beginning of the year to gain coaching experience. Freddie got involved in our After School Football sessions and our Community Football sessions at Queen Margaret Academy. Since starting, Freddie has been keen to learn, asks questions and engages well with the children who participate at these sessions. Freddie’s work ethic is brilliant and we are delighted he has now became a paid member of staff following his volunteering with us. Keep up the good work Freddie!

U19s Reach CAS Cup Final
Congratulations to our Under 19s who have progressed to the CAS Cup Final following their penalty shootout victory over Montrose on Sunday 22nd March. With the game ending 0-0, it was penalty kicks that decided the winner. Goalkeeper Cammy Cowan stood up and saved two penalties in the shootout and Jack Simpson, Brandyn Bain and Rory Devenney converted their penalties to see us into the final.
Our Under 19s will now face either Dundee or Queen’s Park in the Final in May!

Easter Holiday Camps
We are delighted to be running two weeks of Easter Holiday Camps in April and, of course, they’re World Cup themed to help us build up to the summer of football and the excitement of cheering on Scotland!
You can book your place here https://ayr-united-football-academy.classforkids.io/camps

AUFA Football Festival
We still have some spaces remaining in our AUFA Football Festival for 2015 and 2016s teams. This is our first festival and will be hosted at the brand new Somerset Community Pitch!
