On Sunday morning, Ayr United Under 16s hosted Queen’s Park in the CAS U16 league. The Honest Men won 3-1 thanks to goals from Cullen, Ferguson and McRoberts.

The Honest Men opened the scoring in the 21^st minute when McRoberts back heeled the ball to Cullen in the Queen’s Park box and the winger fired the ball into the back of the net to give his side the lead. Ayr United doubled their lead a minute before half time when Fraser crossed the ball into the box and Ferguson was there to slot it in at the front post, Ayr United led 2-0 at HT. Ayr United made their first substitution of the game in the 62^nd minute when Milliken was replaced by Hay. The visitors grabbed a goal back with 64 minutes on the clock when the ball was played through the Ayr defence and the Queen’s Park attacker scored past Ecrepont to make it 2-1. Ecrepont was called into action in the 71^st minute when he made a double save to deny Queen’s Park their equaliser. Ayr United made their second substitution of the game in the 80^th minute when goal scorer Cullen was replaced by Hislop. In the 88^th minute, the Honest Men got their third goal of the game. McClymont played the ball into the box which bounced off Allan, the ball fell to McRoberts who fired the ball into the back of the net to ensure his side got the victory over the Glasgow visitors.

A great win for the Honest Men in their final game of the first half of the league season.
