Start of the Month

Our Star of the Month is Finlay Miller. Finlay has had a great start to the season with our Under 14s, scoring 9 goals in 6 games!

Finlay joined our Academy at the beginning in our Junior Academy and is now an established Youth Phase player. Finlay is also a Scottish FA JD Performance School player.

Modern Apprenticeship Opportunity

Ayr United Football Academy, in partnership with Enable Works and sportscotland, is delighted to be offering an exciting Modern Apprenticeship opportunity for a young person (aged 16–24) with a disability, living in South Ayrshire, who has a passion for sport and community development.

This opportunity provides a supportive pathway into employment, combining practical work experience with structured learning. The successful applicant will gain valuable skills while contributing to the Academy’s community programmes and wider football development activities.

20th Anniversary Sunday Brunch

Ayr United Football Academy are delighted to launch the first of our events to mark 20 years of Ayr United Football Academy. We will be celebrating our achievements with Academy graduates, coaches and special guests in attendance.

The afternoon includes a brunch buffet followed by a Q&A Panel featuring AUFA Graduates and former coaches: David Mitchell, Mark McKenzie, Finn Ecrepont, Brian Gilmour and Scott Agnew.

The afternoon will be hosted by Rob MacLean alongside entertainment from John McKelvie, one of Scotland’s most popular speakers.

This event is taking place on Sunday 5th October 2025 at The Ally MacLeod Hospitality Suite, Somerset Park, Ayr from 12:30pm for a 1pm start.

Term Time Community Football Classes Return

Our Community Football classes restarted on Monday 25th August. We have also started back our after school football sessions at Kingcas Primary School, Heathfield Primary School and Doonfoot Primary School.

Extra Time After School Clubs Return

Our Extra time After School Programme returned after the summer break to all four of our partner primary schools (Braehead, Dalmilling, Newton and St John’s). All four schools are running at full capacity of 40 children a session!

We have delivered a variety of sports including football, basketball dodgeball as well as offering arts and crafts provision as an alternative. During the programme the children receive a health snack and fruit to bridge the gap between school and dinner time.

This programme not only gives the children a safe space to play and learn after school has finished but provides parents that much needed Extra-Time to work longer hours, work towards qualification or complete tasks they might not be able to do if there child did not attend.
